There is also a “virtual run” option for those who prefer to sleep in. The event benefits Memorial Assistance Ministries.

CINCO IN THE CITY @ SILVER STREET STUDIOS
SATURDAY, MAY 5, 2018, 11 AM- 3 PM & 7 PM – MIDNIGHT

Start off your Cinco De Mayo right at Silver Street Studios, which will be transformed to resemble a Mexican town with string lights and papel picado. In the afternoon, you can shop with local Mexican American vendors, snack on authentic samplings from favorites such as Cuchara and Jarritos, or enjoy one of a many different musical acts that will be taking the main stage. In the evening, the real fiesta will start. Samplings from various regions of Mexico and top chefs, mescal tastings, salsa dancing, and margaritas will all be part of the experience. There will also be a live band and an adult piñata, stuffed with gift certificates and covetable prizes. (Note: the afternoon will be family friendly, and the evening celebration will be geared towards adults.)

CINCO DE MAYO @ MARKET SQUARE PARK

Looking to celebrate downtown? Market Square Park is hosting a celebration and concert, complete with art vendors, snacks and treats from La Calle Tacos, and lawn games. Blankets and lawn chairs welcome if you want to stake out a spot on the lawn, or you can head to one of the many bars nearby for drink specials after. We suggest El Big Bad (who is hosting a Cinco De Mayo weekend-long party and pub crawl) and The Pastry War for your margarita fix.
