HDC LIST: HOUSTON’S BEST PIZZA

In no particular order and including only places we have tried and tested, here are our top choices for pizza.

1. Pizaro’s Pizza Napoletana

Go for: the wood fired pizzas and bring your own favorite bottle of wine

2. Star Pizza

Star Pizza, Facebook

An oldie, but a goodie. Go for: the hand tossed or deep dish pizza

3. Luna Pizzeria

Go for: affordable pizza, great salads, and lunch specials (plus half-price pizza on Mondays at Yale location)

4. North Italia

North Italia, Facebook

Go for: the atmosphere and the happy hour – $20 for a bottle of wine and a pizza from 3 PM to 6 PM Sunday-Friday

5. Bollo Woodfired Pizza

Go for: the relaxed ambiance, wood fired pizza, and small plates

6. Coltivare

Coltivare, Facebook

No reservations here, but worth the wait.  Go for: the farm-to-table aspect and the delicious cocktails

7. MidiCi Pizza

Go for: the tasty food and beautiful interior

8. Cane Rosso

Go for: happy hour (5 -7 PM) and Neopolitan-style crusts

9. MOD Pizza
